Painting done!

That was quite the project! The living room looks great, minus the ceiling and carpet that will get done eventually. Just in time to get my Halloween decorations out! The kids and I are (hopefully) making a pumpkin patch in the front yard with real and plastic pumpkins!  And I really hope people won't steal the fake ones or smash the real ones. But I got some really cute decorations last year on clearance. DIRT CHEAP!!!! :) My lights, my pathway sign, window clings, so many things to name! Checking Target next week for costumes, if they don't have them, then I will order them from target.com. And of course, you can't forget the HUGE bags of candy! :)

What a day!

I am so excited! I started painting my living room today! A transition from a sky blue to a wonderful soft brown (I am not much of a blue person, in abundance anyway). I have been waiting forever to do this! It is starting to look fantastic! I would have done it all tonight, but I just lost all my energy and would have had to move furniture away from the wall plus paint. Tomorrow, I will finish painting the walls and start on the trim and the kids can help with that! So, that will be 2 rooms done (minus flooring)! Next is the upstairs, Hunter's room, stairwell and finally making the upstairs bathroom usable instead of an empty room. But we will wait until next fall when our Menards is finished! This store will be 2-3 blocks away from us! They will get quite a bit of business from us! And now that I have gotten the kids and husband to bed, my relaxing bath done, it is time for me to sleep! Goodnight!

Forgot!

I completely forgot about this blog! lol.  With so much going on and the kids in sports over the summer and planning a very very very important trip with my family for Christmas, I just spaced out I had a blog.  Even if no one reads my blog, I should write in it anyway, just for the fun of it.  I will be honest when I say I couldn't remember my log in info, but I worked through it and figured it out.  So, yes, I am still here, and HOPEFULLY..... I will be back at least every couple of days.  We shall see!  Time to get back into a routine!

Something fun to start off 2011

I was contacted by CSN Stores because of my friend, Elizabeth.  Reviewing products, woohoo.  I checked out their site they have everything from pet items, to wall art and decor and children's items.  Exciting to try new things.  I am super pumped!  Thanks Beth for letting me know about this! 

So, what do I review?  I decided to review since I don't have many followers, but sometime down the line, I may do a giveaway! Oh sooo many choices.  They have some awesome looking things. 

I am not a full time blogger, but a blogger none the less and I hope to blog more often! Consider it a new years resolution!!!

Coffee on a cool day!

This morning, after sending the kids on the bus, I decided to go have coffee with my sister-in-law.  We goofed around a bit and acted a little crazy from coffee, but we enjoyed every minute of it.  From funny phrases to funny actions.  We decided to get some running around done and check out all the Halloween decorations stores have out now.  We picked our favorite things in each store and we are now determined to get what we want.  I just decided to pick up some clearanced construction paper and some really neat scrapbooking paper (halloween patterns) from the wonderful dollar section in Target. FUN FUN FUN!  I love making Halloween decorations!  While waiting for the kids to get off the bus, have their snack and do some homework, I will be searching for some really fun Halloween craft ideas.  I have a TON of paper to play with.  Tomorrow will be a fun craft and coffee day with my sister-in-law again!  My printer will probably be crying from all the ink I will use, but I plan on printing out ideas and maybe stencils. 

Kids are home now, so I am off to find some fun crafts to do with them, of course after they get their work done.  If you have any ideas, please feel free to share! :)

Happy Friday

The laundry is calling my name and I am trying to ignore it.  Today probably won't be a highly productive day.  I do have a few errands to run, but nothing that I am not used to.  Pay this, get that, bring this here, take that there...it never ends.  But when I have both of my kids in school, why not!?!  The weekend will be here at 3 pm when the kids are off the bus...What shall we do this weekend?  Maybe some movies and games with some awesome snacks?  A trip to the park if it isn't raining?  How about a few games of bowling?  Those are all inexpensive and something we can all do together!  I think we will come up with something to do.

During this week, this kids barely had any homework.  Some spelling words and a little bit of reading.  Not too bad for the beginning of the school year.  Their teachers are awesome.  They don't pile the kids with a ton of homework over weekends and space out work during the week.  Thank you Teachers!  The kids are ok with a little bit of homework, but they feel overloaded with too much.  If they only knew what High School is going to be like....

10 am is here and I have done NOTHING.  I had a few phone conversations with my Mom and one of my BFFs, Shannon.  Made a quick run to the grocery store for some breakfast, but other than that, I've been sitting on my tail, checking out Facebook and watching TV.  So, now is time to get off of my computer and answer the laundry that is calling me still!  Happy Friday!!!!
